The learning journey

The learning journey can be long, arduous, and full of obstacles. It can also be interesting, stimulating, and rewarding. We understand the different experiences people have and we try to make the process as positive as possible for all or our students. We know the long term gains are worth it.

We’ve recently heard from a past student who began their learning journey with us a few years ago. They were studying Certificate IV Disability at the time and were struggling to motivate themselves to complete the coursework. Our facilitator supported him through the process and encouraged him to complete each task. The student finally gained their qualification and continued their work in the disability sector.

Fast forward a few years and this student has now moved interstate, has completed a Diploma of Community Services and taken on a new role. Along with his other studies, he has now progressed from a role as a Support Worker to a Youth Worker — his dream job. Through hard work and perseverance, he’s achieved his goal. Sure, he’s been supported along the way, but facilitators can support, encourage and inspire a person only so far. The rest is up to them.

Our facilitators are skilled at helping students unlock their full potential. We’ve received thanks and praise on numerous occasions from past students who have gone on to further study, promotions and career changes as a direct result of their learning experience with us. Another example is where a previous student secured a traineeship as a direct result of her qualification gained through MDS Training, and was working towards saving for a deposit for her own home — something she never thought would be possible.

If you’re thinking of studying, or even contemplating a career move but don’t know where to start, just give us a call and we’ll help you work towards your goals. And as we said before, it’s worth it.
